An older traveller with luggage beside a calm timing check

Core service

Senior Travel & Mobility Support

We help older travellers and their families turn a demanding itinerary into a practical plan. That can include choosing manageable connections, requesting suitable airport assistance, clarifying companion responsibilities, and preparing for each handover without making promises the airline or airport has not confirmed.

The operating airline and relevant authorities make the final acceptance decision.

Typical situations we can assess

Best for

  • Older passengers travelling alone or with a family member
  • Families coordinating assistance from a distance
  • Travellers who can walk short distances but struggle with long terminals or queues

Common scenarios

  • A parent needs wheelchair assistance between check-in and the aircraft
  • A traveller needs a longer, simpler connection rather than the shortest itinerary
  • A family wants a step-by-step plan for departure, transit, and arrival

What we do

  • Review the itinerary for connection time, terminal changes, and assistance handovers
  • Translate the traveller's needs into the appropriate airline assistance request
  • Clarify what a companion, airline, and airport team can each reasonably do
  • Prepare travel-day contacts, medication reminders, and contingency questions
  • Track requests and clearly label them as requested, confirmed, or unresolved

Clear roles at every step

Who is responsible for what?

AeroAssist plans and coordinates the journey. The requester supplies and approves the facts, while the airline and airport retain control of acceptance and service delivery.

AeroAssist

Curates, books, and coordinates

  1. Curated itinerary offer

    Provide a curated offer with itinerary choices from airlines whose published capabilities and conditions of carriage are compatible with the stated request.

  2. Airline-ready reservation request

    Once the requester selects an itinerary and authorises booking, AeroAssist:

    • makes the reservation with the selected airline, within the agreed service scope;
    • requests the relevant airline or airport services intended to meet the requester's stated needs;
    • provides the airline with the information it requires, in the format and through the channel the airline specifies;
    • coordinates with the airline on solutions for possible exceptions to standard policy or other travel-acceptance constraints, and communicates any additional requirements or airline service fees.
  3. Acceptance, payment, and documents

    Obtain and communicate the airline's confirmation that it has accepted the reservation, process payment for tickets and ancillary services on the airline's behalf, and deliver the valid electronic tickets, payment receipts, and reservation confirmation to the client.

  4. “On the Go” assistance

    Provide support for rebooking the entire journey and rearranging the associated assistance and ancillary services when a service interruption or flight irregularity occurs.

  5. Post-trip claims assistance

    Support claims involving denied boarding for passengers; refused carriage for animals or special items; long delays; and damaged or delayed baggage.

Support specific to this service

  • Itinerary and connection-risk review
  • Assistance-request guidance and confirmation tracking
  • A readable travel plan for the traveller and family
  • Questions to raise with the airline, airport, doctor, or insurer where relevant

AeroAssist records submitted requests, tracks their status, and communicates provider decisions. A reservation note or service request is not confirmed until the airline or responsible provider accepts it. Rebooking, ancillary services, and claims support remain subject to availability, provider rules, supporting evidence, and any applicable charges.

Airline & airport

  • Boarding and onboard service within the carrier's published responsibilities
  • Final decisions about fitness to fly and any required medical clearance
  • Operational changes, rebooking, and disruption handling under the ticket terms

You provide complete and accurate information, review the curated choices, authorise the selected itinerary, and meet document, payment, and response deadlines.

  • Traveller's itinerary, mobility level, and whether steps can be managed
  • Details of any mobility aid or equipment
  • Companion details and the level of personal care available
